My non-existent existential crisis
It’s now officially my birthday and I have hit the big 3-0. I figured this milestone would bring with it some sort of epiphany or intense moment of introspection, but that’s not the case. I don’t feel old all of a sudden and I certainly don’t expect to anytime soon. Honestly, I think I’m just entering my prime. As soon as I get rid of this vertigo, I’m gonna...

I’m posting this song for a very obvious reason, but also because it contains possibly the lamest drum solo in music history.
Gone Commercial: White People Are Good Dancers →
Continuing with my favorite things of 2007, this is my favorite overall post from my own blog about commercials. I understand that it wouldn’t win any Pulitzers, but it has a good mix of me being a smartass combined with a commercial that is legitimately funny on its own.

Random Thoughts: Bums Don't Have To Impress Me
I had to make a trip to CVS this morning to buy a couple gift bags for irregular sized presents and, on my way in, I walked past a bum who asked me for change. My truthful response was, “I don’t have any…I haven’t even been inside the store yet.” When I subsequently made my purchase of two gift bags and a Mountain Dew, the total was $12.01 and there was no penny jar...

Netflix Trips Me Out: Beyond the Valley of the...
Synopsis from Netflix: Film critic Roger Ebert penned the screenplay for this Russ Meyer classic, which isn’t so much a sequel to the original (based on the Jacqueline Susann novel) as an ebulliently vulgar remake. Chronicling the adventures of a trio of female rockers who find their way from the heartland to Hollywood, the film features all the Meyer staples: bountiful breasts, lesbian love...

The missing ingredient
I just received the approval email for VPLC in the YouTube Nonprofit Program. Combining that with the new webcasting features of probono.net, I think it’s a really good idea for us to purchase a digital video camera soon.

Netflix Is Bewildering: A Boy and His Dog
Synopsis from Netflix: Vic (a young Don Johnson) roams a postapocalyptic wasteland accompanied by his telepathic, ever-grumbling dog, eventually winding up in the clutches of a female-dominated underground society that wants his sperm. A little more information
The neurologist said my bran scan was normal, so we still don’t have a cause for my vertigo. He started me on Diazepam, which will hopefully help with the symptoms until it goes away. I also got information on the Canalith Repositioning Procedure to jostle my inner ear into cooperation.
