Reconciliation?
This afternoon is the unveiling of the slavery reconciliation statue here in RVA, and I’m planning on being there. I’m not sure what to expect but it has the potential to be huge. (Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Jesse Jackson are all invited guests.) Part of me is tempted to brush the whole thing off as an empty gesture that won’t amount to anything worthwhile....

Springing forward
Today is the first official day of spring (even though the weather doesn’t reflect it), so I thought it would be a good time to reflect on some events of the past winter.
