Netflix Self-Torture Experiment Reprise #5:...
Synopsis from Netflix: Tough cop Katie Coltrane (Whoopi Goldberg) never bargained on getting a dinosaur for a partner, but that’s what happens in this futuristic comedy directed by Jonathan Betuel. Thanks to modern science, dinosaurs are once again roaming Earth — but this time, they talk and act just like humans. Their first assignment? A murderer is on the loose, and his victims are...

Netflix Self-Torture Experiment Reprise #4: Swept...
This was a good suggestion from my friend Michelle, by which I mean this movie was fucking horrible. Synopsis from Netflix: Amber (Madonna), a spoiled rich woman, goes on a yachting holiday in the Mediterranean with friends, where she meets a communist sailor, Giuseppe Esposito (Adriano Giannini), who dislikes her bad mood and snooty behavior. When the two of them become stranded on a remote...

Netflix Self-Torture Experiment Reprise #2: The...
Yes, I’m watching two movies on the first day of the self-torture reprise. Don’t expect me to make a habit of it, but it’s a Wednesday and I have vertigo. What the hell else am I gonna do? Synopsis from Netflix: Director Tom Putnam’s romantic comedy stars Paris Hilton as Cristabelle Abbott, a beautiful girl pursued by her lovesick childhood chum Nate Cooper (Joel Moore)....

Netflix Self-Torture Experiment Reprise #1 -...
Synopsis from Netflix: It’s the purrfect blend of live action and CGI as everyone’s favorite cynical, overweight tabby — Garfield (voiced by Bill Murray) — finally makes it to the big screen in this film based on Jim Davis’s syndicated cartoon strip. Garfield’s comic misadventures begin when he finds himself competing for his owner’s affection after a new...

Warning
“While using the Wii Balance Board, if you experience excessive fatigue, shortness of breath, chest tightness, dizziness, discomfort or pain, STOP USE IMMEDIATELY and consult a doctor.” (Bold added by me, obviously.) But…it was my balance doctor who implored me to purchase the Wii Fit in the first place. I AM SO CONFUSED!

Netflix Self-Torture Experiment Reprise
Last year during Lent, I conducted a pointless exercise of forcing myself to watch nothing but horrible movies for weeks on end. At the conclusion, I swore that I would never put myself through such an ordeal again. Unfortunately for me, however, I am both an idiot and a glutton for punishment because I’m reprising the idea this year. Starting on Wednesday I will once again embark on a quest...

Recovery.gov shuns transparency, blocks Google →
To be more specific, they are using their robots.txt file to stop all search engines from indexing the site. Luckily this can be (and apparently is being) ignored by Google, but I don’t think any .gov sites should have such restrictions placed on them. President Obama, you’re my boy, but transparency is VERY IMPORTANT here. Please don’t disappoint.

Video from the Richmond Twestival →
This isn’t terribly exciting video, but you can see me a couple of times in the background. A little more than halfway through I am seen talking to @rvamag, and right towards the end you can witness me chatting with @maryframer. (I’m the tall dude in the red shirt and glasses.) In case you’re wondering, no, this video was not embeddable.
